Human versions again. I'm really glad with how the hakama and kimono (especially the sleeves)came out, since I really suck at drawing them.
I took 's advice and variated the thickness of lines in the piece, and I have to say I like the overall effect of it. Doesn't mean I'm going to do it again though. 6_6 It took me 5 times to scan this before the lines looked suitable for colouring.
Anywho, I like Shoki's crow pattern better than Chou's phoenix one. But I do like the greens better.

Human forms (c) ?
(Shoki, bird-version, had her left wing broken, so let's just say she is unable to use her fingers in that hand. I wasn't willing to draw a deformed arm...nor do I think I would've been able to achieve it)
This is really great Mizzy-pants The shading on the sleeves of the woman's kimono is very lovely. The variation in the linework adds a nice touch. Don't necessarily give up on it right away
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
